About Kunene Region

Kunene Region represents the wild heart of Namibia, where ancient cultures meet dramatic landscapes in one of Africa's most remote destinations. This vast wilderness area stretches from the Atlantic's Skeleton Coast to the Angolan border, encompassing diverse ecosystems and authentic cultural experiences.

The region is home to the semi-nomadic Himba people, one of Africa's last traditional cultures, who maintain their ancestral way of life in harmony with the harsh yet beautiful landscape. Visitors can witness desert-adapted elephants, ancient rock art sites, and some of the most spectacular wilderness scenery on the continent.

From the ethereal Skeleton Coast with its shipwrecks and seal colonies to the thundering Epupa Falls surrounded by ancient baobab trees, Kunene offers experiences that few places on Earth can match.
